Saline Lightening/Removal

(Eyebrows, eyeliner, lips, or smaller tattoos)

Initial Session: 1.0 hours booked.

Touch Up Session: 1.0 hours booked.

*8-12 weeks in between sessions to maintain skin integrity*

Lightening/removal procedure is done using the method of "osmosis" by depositing a high content salt and fruit seed extract solution into the area of pigment to be removed. The solution adheres to the old pigment and essentially pushes the unwanted pigment onto the surface of the skin which forms a scab. During the healing process, the scab will then fall off and take the old pigment with it (each session) which will then lighten/remove the unwanted darkness or discoloration. This booked service is only for ONE session. Each session requires a new appointment deposit unless a package deal is agreed upon.

Ideal for:

·         Dark or discoloration on eyebrows, lips, and eyeliner

·         Lightening/removal on smaller body art tattoos (brief consultation required)

·         Unwanted or uneven permanent make up

What to expect at the initial session:

·         Consent Forms, Medical Questionnaire (ID required)

·         Thorough explanation of procedure and after-care

·         Numbing (Topical Anesthetics used to provide and maintain comfort)

·         Actual Procedure Time: approximately 30-45 minutes depending on surface area

·         After-care kits are provided after each session

Healing Process (timeframe may vary for each client):

·         Day 1-3: Area being lightened or removed will look extremely dark or bloody as it begins to scab. In some cases, differences can be seen immediately after procedure.

·         Day 3-15: Dry healing is encouraged during this time. Scabs will begin to fall of in patchy areas. The longer the scab stays on, the more pigment it will attach to and “pull” off.

·         Day 15-60: Area being lightened or removed may reveal a blurry, lighter tattoo until next session.

Recommendations:

·         Understand that the lightening/removal process requires extreme patience as results are not always immediately gratifying

·         Allow for dry healing – keep scabs on as long as possible – for best results

·         Ask any questions or concerns prior to the start of the procedure

·         Review and follow after-care instructions for the best results
